It definitely took some time, but finally, the waiting of Qora community, investors and crypto-enthusiasts is coming to a sweet end. CIYAM team has finished work on implementation of Turing Complete Smart Contracts named Automated Transactions into the core and version 0.20 (aka v2.0) of Qora has been released this Wednesday. Automated Transactions are going to be activated on block 99,000 and the Qora team is now making sure that most of the network switches to the new version before this block.

The idea of implementing AT into Qora core originated the summer of 2014. By that autumn the community had raised enough funds for CIYAM team so the work could begin. After almost half a year of patient work, this project has been successfully finished, despite the original Qora developer taking a leave of absence.

Besides AT, the 2.0 release also contains a Messaging Service, Decentralized Web Server and useful wallet improvements. Obviously, some people from crypto community decided to finally give Qora a chance after this release and this has been also reflected in rise of the market price. As one investor said to us, there is still plenty of time to join this little crypto-revolution:

“If you imagine what can you do with one Qora - register a name, sell it, start a virtual company, create a poll, send a message, store data in the blockchain, or now for v20 Qora – start some usecase of Automated Transactions – the 8 satoshi price seem to be still ridiculous to me. It should be around 100 satoshi at least.“

These are not empty words, once you connect all the dots of Qora’s features. External developers seem to finally discover the possibilities of Arbitrary Transactions and as we know from the Qora team – all Qora features are designed to cooperate with you in the future. So for example – you can start a virtual company on Asset Exchange, register its name, use AT to run a lottery…and viola! You have a company, lottery is being handled by AT, you pay the shareholders easily through multi-payments transactions and you communicate via Qora blogging service.

It’s only a question of time, when first minds connect these dots and start the decentralized dream. Because there seem to be no limit for facilities. Qora has definitely made a huge step forward.
